Jerk Seasoning

$8.00

The Jamaican-based seasoning was introduced centuries ago by the Maroons who used to smoke meat over pimento wood, which is native to Jamaica.
The name derives from the action of "jerking", which referred to poking meat with holes so that flavor could more easily be absorbed.
In addition to the particular cooking technique, Jerk also refers to the spice rub or wet marinade. It's sweet, aromatic, and bold with some spicy kick.
Jerk seasoning is primarily used on chicken and pork, but modern recipes can be used with other ingredients including tofu, seafood, beef, lamb, goat and vegetables.
Our Jerk Seasoning tastes amazing right on your food of choice! Add a little garlic and lemon juice to maximize flavor for wet marinade style.

Ingredients: Sea Salt, Onion, Coriander, Garlic, Ginger, Black Pepper, Allspice, Cinnamon, Thyme, Cloves, Nutmeg, Chili.
